CNN visits Salsa With Silvia for New Year's Eve

CNN visits Salsa with Silvia for New Year’s Eve!

Salsa with Silvia Made It to CNN!

What an incredible way to end 2024 and welcome 2025! CNN stopped by our DC studio, and we had the chance to teach their anchors, Boris Sanchez and Laura Coates, how to dance. Yes! Teach TV anchors to dance!

In just four hours, they learned not one, not two, but three dance styles. Honestly, watching them go from nervous first steps to confidently pulling off their final performance was so rewarding. They worked hard, had fun, and absolutely nailed it!

Big shoutout to owner Silvia Alexiev (@anotherframe), and the amazing Serhii Matviichuk (@dancer_person) for guiding them through this exciting experience. Having the CNN crew with us was such an honor, and a lot of fun too!

This was such a special moment for all of us at Salsa with Silvia, and we’re so grateful we could end 2024 on this high note.

Here’s to even more dancing, joy, and unforgettable memories in 2025!

Salsa Dance a new way to meet people

Salsa has become one of the most popular dance styles over the decades, are you wondering why? Based in our experience  many people have joined our dance studio not only to learn Salsa but also to meet people and make a community who shares their same passion. But what is Salsa?

This is a Latin dance style that is now popular worldwide. You start with a relaxed stance, facing your dance partner, listen to the music and start with the basic salsa steps. Add a bounce to your knees for some extra flair. Hold your partner’s hands gently and keep eye contact for good communication. Now, try turning gently and moving forward and backward.

Don’t worry about being perfect; just enjoy the rhythm and have fun. Salsa is all about feeling the music and connecting with your partner.
