Silvia Alexiev
Owner
Dancing since she was 6, one of Silvia’s dream was always to have her own dance studio. Now the Salsa With Silvia studio is the fastest growing and largest Latin dance studio in the DMV area with locations in DC and Bethesda, MD.
Cherelle Spears
Director of Operations
Cherelle was born and raised in Washington, DC. Although she comes from a family of dancers and was once a Ballet & Hip-Hop Dancer, her passion for technology led her to take a different route. She has been working with computers since the age of 7.
Carla Camargo
Studio Director
Carla Camargo, originally from Mexico, first began technical dance training at the age of fifteen under the Jim Henson Center for the Visual and Performing Arts Academy at Northwestern high school in Maryland.
Gary Raze
Customer Representative
Prior to joining the Salsa With Silvia team, Gary has had combined experience in management, advertising, business development, sales training, media, public relations, marketing and fundraising.
Mario Cervantes

Born in Monterrey, Mexico, Mario began dancing jazz and Mexican folk dance at academies and dance companies in his hometown at a very young age. Dance continued to be an important part of his life as he grew up, and he has trained with instructors from around the World in a variety of disciplines
Sage Chase
Receptionist
Sage’s roles at SWS are as a camp counselor, assistant teacher, and front desk receptionist. Sage is currently pursuing a B.F.A. in Theatre Arts Administration with a minor in Voice at Howard University.
Whitney Smith
Receptionist
Whitney moved to Washington, D.C. from Tallahassee, Florida in 2018. There she attended Florida State University and received her degree in International Affairs.
Bianca Villatoro
Receptionist/Kids Dance Instructor
Bianca Villatoro is a Salvadoran-American dancer from Washington, D.C. Bianca has been dancing for eight years, being trained in Ballet, Modern, Contemporary, Jazz, as well as Latin dance.
