Program at a Glance
- Format: 90 minutes, Sundays, 4:30–6:00 PM
- Structure: 9 blocks × 2 weeks (18 sessions total) — same instructor per block, Week 2 builds directly on Week 1

“Closer Connection” — Dominican Bachata

Dominican bachata opens the series with an intermediate-level deep dive into connection — closer frame, body isolations, and a lead/follow conversation that’s subtler than salsa’s. It’s also the root style that Sensual and Modern Bachata (Blocks 6 & 7) build on later in the series, so dancers with some partner-dance experience get the most out of starting here.

Salsa On2 introduces a different timing system from the on-1 salsa taught earlier in the series — breaking on the second beat instead of the first changes the musicality, the look, and the connection with your partner. This foundations-level block starts from the ground up, so no On2 experience is needed, just the cross-body lead fundamentals from Blocks 2 & 4.

Sensual bachata pushes the Dominican bachata connection from Block 1 into continuous body leads — isolations, waves, and shadow positioning replace hand-leads as the primary way partners communicate, raising the technical bar for Intermediate Lvl 1–2 dancers.
